Overview

The IR-140 Optical IRIG-B / 1 PPS Distribution Unit is a high accuracy multi-mode optical fiber distribution unit that can distribute optical IRIG-B and 1 PPS timing signals with nanosecond accuracy over long distances.

The IR-140 reliably converts electrical IRIG-B / 1 PPS signals to optical signals and vice versa, ensuring noise-free time synchronization for critical applications such as substations, telecom networks, data centers, and industrial automation. This product is offered as both IRIG-B transmitter and receiver, offering flexible optical timing distribution to multiple devices.

Optical IRIG-B / 1 PPS Distribution

IR-140-T – 1 PPS / IRIG-B Transmitter The IR-140-T transmitter converts a standard 1 PPS or IRIG-B electrical signal to an 850nm optical signal and transmits it over multi-mode optical fiber for long-distance transmission.

IR-140-R – 1 PPS / IRIG-B Receiver The IR-140-R receiver receives the Optical IRIG-B or 1 PPS signal and converts it to up to 4 isolated BNC outputs, allowing for accurate timing distribution to multiple systems simultaneously.
